Modern dancers Berg, Jones & Sarvis perform nationally and are known for their sardonic, physical, and unpredictable trios. Based in Portland Maine, their large site-specific pieces for "non-dancers" are local legends: a piece for the mayor, police chief, and citizens, on the steps of city hall—a ballet for 23 bike riders—a dance for professional baseball players and fans performed for an audience of 6,000. In their recent community dance project Plank, the company works with volunteers at universities, public institutions, or corporations, to create an action-packed dance performance event for the groundbreaking or dedication of new buildings.

Driven by curiosity about visual art, public spaces, and architecture, Berg Jones & Sarvis also create performances in and around art museums; these Museum Pieces engage audiences in new ways, and help them make active sense of art and environments.

The trio has vast experience teaching dance, choreography, and physical theater in other settings such as universities, schools, and community residencies.
